With our mission as our guide, Gateway is dedicated to addressing the issues of generational homelessness through innovative programs for the youth residing in the family shelter. We have two stable youth programs: the Montessori Program and the PAWS program. However, volunteers are an integral part of providing comprehensive programs for our youth. Each week, we have different groups of dedicated volunteers come to the shelter to put on their own innovative youth programs from holiday celebrations to game days.

Montessori

Our Montessori Project, is a program geared toward children between the ages of 3-6 years. By using the Montessori method, it creates a supportive environment for children so that we are seeing them as they really are, and can tap into their highest potential.

PAWS

The PAWS program uses dogs as a learning tool, to help motivate the children to read and write.
